Hey, everybody! The cleaners decided to step it up this week so we have another Silver Spoon chapter ready!

They’re still looking for some cleaners to help out, though. If you’re interested and competent in Photoshop, please apply in the forums of the recruitment center. And remember, this isn’t an evil, “YOU FAIL!” type of test. If you already have at least some skill, the other cleaners are there to help coach you up to the level you’ll need to be.

Anyway, here's the chapter. The recurring theme seems to be, "Poor Hachiken..."

Tail Star Chapter 05

Hey everybody! Tail Star chapter 5 is here and it’s a great one!
But wait… How in the heck is the story supposed to keep going after THAT!?!?

Also, I have a little bonus for you all. Any of you out there been wondering that the heck the ’623′ on Rob’s pant leg means!? Well, continue reading to find out!

Translator Note (no spoilers, don’t worry)
I noticed something last month in this series and forgot to include it in the last release post. Rob’s pants have the number ’623′ on one of the legs and I figured out that it’s not just for the heck of it. This is a little joke about his name. You actually see stuff like this a lot in real life in Japan. Well, here you go:

First, the six. The word for ‘six’ in Japanese is ‘roku,’ but in this case, we’ll drop the ‘ku’ and just use the ‘ro.’ Next, the two. ‘Two’ is ‘ni,’ but when counting objects, it can also be pronounced ‘futatsu.’ Again, we’ll drop everything except for the first sound and are left with ‘fu.’ When a ‘fu’ follows another character, it often picks up a ‘ten-ten’ or a ‘maru’ (people who know anything about the Japanese syllabary will understand what this means), so this ‘fu’ actually picks up a ‘ten-ten’ and becomes a ‘bu.’ Now, for the three. Simple. This ‘three’ is just the simple ‘san’ with no changes. So, we get ‘ro’ + ‘bu’ + ‘san’ for ‘Robu-san,’ the Japanese pronunciation of ‘Rob-san.’

Isn’t that clever? :P
Although, in Japan you would never refer to yourself with a name suffix, so why he wears his name with the suffix on his pants is a bit strange…

Oh, one more thing. If you look closely when Sanagi picks up Rob’s axe in this chapter, you will see that it also has the kanji for ’623′ engraved on one side in the center. What a narcissist.

Enjoy the chapter!
